Project for January 25th 2012- People I Love

These 4x12 albums are one of my favorite sizes for using real 4x6 photos without a lot of trimming.

The format of this album is chipboard covers, with cardstock pages and insert pages. The album pages have LOTS of stamped pieces- but you could just as easily transform that into using up all of your misc. Valentine embellishments. I rarely have Valentine photos so I like to focus on the concept of people I love, places I love, etc for Valentines Day.

For my album, it is from a class I taught several years ago and has actual- yes wait for it -

PHOTOS! in it. Amazing.

There are also some different insert pages that I used, I love adding pockets for journaling or even more photos.

Have fun putting together an album of the people you love- such a great theme for a Valentines project!

Project for January 18th 2012

Our project for this week is a cute 6x6 mini album with a sheet of printable titles and quotes to use. I used 12 x 12 papers that were cut up into 6x6 pieces, but you could also use a 6x6 paper pad for this project- it would be really cute.

Each of the pages are made from cardstock and decorated with patterned paper and some simple embellishments. You could definitely turn up the volume and add LOTS more detail for this project.

Have a great week!

post script: I had this post all ready to go last week and then WHAM snow storm and WHAM no power and then WHAM no internet for days and days. So here it is. I think a nice bright colored album is just perfect after a week of storms and no electricity. -Kerry

Project for Nov 9th and 16th

Wow Project Chicks- this is a big one- but a super good one! We asked Adrienne Guitron to guest design a December Daily album for you, and I think you will agree it is just fantastic!

She combined the beautiful paper collection by Echo Park, with Red, Green and Kraft cardstock, glitter, tinsel, ribbon, baker's twine, tags and so many other fun embellishments and techniques.

This project is also available as a kit, and if you purchase a kit we are offering this as a free class during our Holiday Open House Sunday November 27th.

The directions for this project are in 2 parts, and we also included a printable sheet for a few of the tags and also the patterns for the mini file folder and mini envelope.

To purchase a kit of this project, it will be listed on the right side of the Blog. the members only price does not include the directions- so if you want to come to the free class for this project you will need to bring your own directions.

Enjoy!

Hi Project Chicks

Here are some photos of the project I sent out this week, a super fun and cute Halloween Mobile.

We included the patterns to make all of these fun paper ornaments- I think the Witch shoes are my absolute favorite thing. So much fun.

Have a great time using up some of your favorite Halloween paper and embellishments.

Project for October 5 2011

Hi Wednesday Project Chicks

As we draw closer to Halloween I am always in a scramble for new and fun ways to give out treats to my neighbors and friends. So this week we are bringing you 4 ways!
These are 4 fun Halloween Baskets to make with paper! I love projects that I can make from my stash and this is definitely one of those projects.

Each of these boxes using different techniques for folding, ideas that you are sure to use over and over again.

Have fun with these projects- your directions will include the Candy Corn template and all of the folding and cutting instructions for the other 3 boxes.

Have a great week!

Project for Sept 28 2011- The Boo Crew

Hi Halloween Chicks

I am full on in the Halloween spirit and so at the last minute decided to change directions with my project this week and bring on the glittery, fun and fabulous side of Halloween.

Each page of the book is shaped like a witches hat (I included a pattern to cut out the hats from chipboard and patterned paper) with a fancy embellished hat band. And then there is the glitter, so much glittery goodness.

We have a video this week that includes the directions to make the double rosette and curlie q's on the front of the book. Have a Spooktacular week!

Project for Sept 14 2011

Hi Project Chicks

This week our project combines form and function together- it is a great way to stay organized during the school year.

You could also do this project into a 12 Month Home Organizer, Countdown to Baby organizer, Travel Organizer, or something else!

The format is simple, it is 11 manila envelopes bound together into a book (I used a Cinch, but you could also just bind this with book rings), and then every page has a spot for journaling on a tag, and spots to add photos and other memorabilia. The envelopes provide a great way to stay organized, you can store all of the valuable school papers, calendars, etc inside.

Have fun!
