Project for March 30- Butterfly Mobile

Hi Wednesday Project Chicks

Our project for today is a beautiful and colorful Butterfly Mobile.

I included a template so you can hand cut your butterflies- or if you have a Cricut there are butterflies on many of the cartridges. They range in size from 1" to 4"

I used the Designer Calendar cartridge and cut my butterflies in 5 different sizes and some of them I layered together and folded them up for some dimension.

The video demonstrates step by step how to put together the project.

Enjoy this beautiful touch of spring!

Project for March 23, 2011

This week our project is a fun and colorful book full of hand folded pockets.

The pockets are sized so you can put a 4x6 photo in them, or cut 4x6 inserts and include photos, journaling or mementos.
The pockets are joined together along their back seams and so they form a honeycomb when they are fanned out.
I also did a cute title using paper scraps, trim, buttons and ribbon to really emphasize the theme of color.
This project is available for purchase on our blog, for a members only price of $20.
The video below has step by step directions:

Project for March 16th- Birdhouse Mini Book

Hi Wednesday Project Chicks
This week is a super fun, brand new design in a bright and happy Springtime paper line by Echo Park Paper Company. The book cover is in the shape of a birdhouse- I thought that this would looks so cute sitting on my counter as a display during the spring months.
We are doing a stab binding with this project, which is much much much easier if you have a darning needle that you can thread with the bakers twine.

The book is constructed of a binding, 3 booklets of pages and the covers. We are going to attach the bookets to the binding first, then glue the binding to the covers. Kind of a different way to do it. I also threaded buttons onto the binding, you can slide these to cover up the knots.
The birdie perch on the front of the book is a small wooden spool that I wrapped with bakers twine.
The video below shows you step by step directions, and your full color directions are on the way.

Enjoy!

It's A Party Mini Book of Tags and Pockets

Hi Wednesday Project Chicks

This week our project is a really fun 6x6 mini album, that has a little of everything, tags, pockets, accordion folding, cute paper, ribbon, Oh so much to love!

The project is actually 3 sections with an accordion pleat in the center joined to 2 sections that are just folded over cardstock. It creates a fun mini with lots of places for photos, journaling and mementos.

We will have a kit of this project available that will include all of the fun patterned papers, stickers and those cute embellishments on springs that pop out.

The video shows you step by step how to construct this project, the directions are on their way later today (since it is already Wednesday although very very very early on Wednesday!)
