Hi Chicks

I am still re writing the directions for this project but I wanted to post the video now. It is a fun desk top calendar- the last of our Christmas Gifts in August series.
The directions will include the printable calendars, those will follow later today.

Project for August 17 2011

Hi Chicks

This week our project is another fun gift idea- a mini album built on a rolodex.

This has a ton of possibilities, year in review, address book, teacher's file, album for grandparents, bride's file, etc.
The idea is to really use up lots of those odds and ends embellishments that you have hanging around. That is what I did with my sample album. I gave you photos of each card so you can use those as inspiration for your album.

Enjoy!

Project for August 10 2011

Hi Wednesday Project Chicks!

We are continuing our month of gift ideas with another handmade project, a recipe book.

I love recipe books for gifts, you can personalize them with your family recipes, or find and print great recipes online. This project stands up- you will make the stand from chipboard - and then the divider pages flip over and you can put the recipes between. You could also change the orientation of this book and make it like standard recipe book- leaving out the stand.

Another fun idea would be to make the divider pages out of recycled food boxes like brownie mix box, pancake mix box, cereal boxes, etc. The paper collection that I used for this project is Nook and Pantry by Basic Grey, but you could use any of the really cute new recipe or cooking paper lines, or pick something that will match their kitchen.

We also included the pattern to hand cut the tabbed divider pages. Enjoy this project and let us know if you have any questions. We didn't do a video this week.

Happy Scrapping!

Hi Project Chicks
I wasn't going to do a video this week, but I had some questions about the directions so I thought it would be worthwhile to do a short video. This shoud answer all of your questions.
Have fun!
