Project for June 22, 2011

Our project for this week is a fun travel book- perfect for snapshots, postcards or all of the wonderful bits and pieces that I like to pick up when I am on a trip.
The title is Our Favorite Places and the book also is full of quotes about journeys. A printable sheet of quotes is included with your directions.

This mini is 6x6 and then when you open it up there are accordion pieces that fold out from the sides.

The video below shows step by step directions to make this great mini book.

Project for June 15 2011

Hi Wednesday Project Chicks
This week our mini album is one of my all time favorite gift albums, a real "go to" album when you need to put something together.

The pages are all 4x12 and so you can put an untrimmed and unmatted 4x6 photo directly on the page. That is some serious goodness.

We also included a file for the printable titles and tab pieces, and a printable pattern to make the library pocket.
The video below shows you step by step how to put the book together. There are kits available on the right of the blog screen at a members only price of $15.

Have fun!

Hi Wednesday Project Chicks

Here is our project for the week, it is a fun mini made from scratch.

The book is all made with white cardstock- it is 4 different layers of pages, each layer is a different type of page.

The colorful patterned papers are added on after the book is constructed.

The video below shows step by step construction details.

Enjoy!

Project for June 1, 2011 What is A Dad- Corrugated Cardboard Mini Book

This week our mini book is all about Dad. We combined corrugated cardboard for pages with some cool metal embellishments.

The cover features a galvanized electrical switch plate cover- it adds such a cool touch and it was only .50 at Home Depot.

Some of the other metal embellishments were made using guess what? A Diet Coke can. The aluminum is thin enough to cut with a regular pair of scissors.

I also included a printable poem that I adhered to the front and back of some shipping tags.

Have fun with this project- you will love the corrugated cardboard- it is an awesome texture. The video below shows you how to create the metal embellishments and to distress the edges of the cardboard pages.
