Hi Project Chicks Here is the project that I owe you for last week. It is a fun concept- a swatch book that is fastened together with an album post. I always end up with these extra album posts because I replace the short ones with longer ones for my scrapbooks. I glued a button to the front of the post. So this mini book has a wrap around cover and 4x6 inserts to add your photos. They are punched in the corner and the whole business is bound with the album post. The pages swing out from the cover like swatches. I did a fun Disney theme- we always love Disney- but this would be a really cute Father's Day book, Coach's book, Teacher's book, etc. The video shows you how to put this together. Have fun! -Kerry
Hi Project Chicks Sorry for the week delay, I am fully committed to being 100% back on track now. No more skipping weeks and I have planned out some AWESOME new projects.
So, this week is a super fun paper bag mini book. This is a really different way to put together a paper bag book-I like it because you can insert full sized photos in the bag "pockets" along the sides. You can add as many paper bags as you like. I used these cool red lunch bags I found at Target.
The instructions below have step by step directions to put the project together, the written instructions are on their way. Enjoy!
Hi Chicks Here is a fun and colorful mini book for this dreary rainy gray Seattle day- So yucky!
It is a handfolded mini made from scratch. The pages of the album are each made from one 12 x 12 piece of paper and then I used more paper for the pocket inserts, tags and embellishment.
This is an album I have made many many times, there are lots of spaces for photos.
The video shows you step by step directions for the construction.
Sorry Chicks I could not get my project to work for last week and then I just got busy and so I decided to wait until today to do a new project. You will also have another new project in the morning.
This one is a favorite of mine, a freestanding magnet board.
You can buy the sheet metal at Home Depot, it is ducting material. I cut mine to size using industrial scissors (kind of like tin snips). You could also do this project using a cookie sheet if you aren't feeling into the metal shop kind of thing. I also made some magnets using paper scraps and metal rim tags and buttons. They are so cute on this board. The video below shows you step by step how to put this together.
Hi Wednesday Project Ladies Our weekly project is on the way. I had some technical difficulties with it and I have to go out this morning (Thursday) and get something to fix it. I will post it later today.
